Re: Grizzly Bear

i think they're really good, been listening to them for a while. i don't quite know how to categorize them, however, i would like to spin that in a positive direction. all the goods bands these days seem to be unclassifiable. if i had to though- i'd go with experimental indie folk haha   love the harmonies, acoustic guitar is fantastic, the woodwind and electric instrumentation you hear occasionally spices it up a lot too. high regards from me.

sidenote: i think the friend ep is a really cool idea. having all your friend bands cover and put a spin on your songs, brilliant.

Re: Grizzly Bear

soo good. i have yet to listen to the new album that leaked because one of the guys in the band said it was horrible quality.

the friend ep is indeed a cool idea. okkervil river released videos each week of some of their friends covering a song off on their new album that was coming out. the only thing disappointing about it was that they weren't much different from the songs on the album.

New album is really good. Just started listening like 6 or so months ago. Good shit. Fun for the summertime.

Re: Grizzly Bear

I haven't been able to get into Grizzly Bear that much ..  I keep reading articles praising them and also seeing tweets/messages from John loving them as well ..

I suppose Ill give em another listen .. sometimes a chance in your mindframe also changes your perception of the tunage at hand

Re: Grizzly Bear

They are a little bizarre but their music is hauntingly melodic and catchy. They are rather good, but I suppose it's an acquired taste.
